ScreenShare

Helper app

The website can share and view a screen on its own. To let someone move the mouse or type on this Mac, run the helper in the ScreenShare project folder and leave it open.

  1. 1. Start it

    npm run agent

A bar appears at the top of the screen with a 6-digit pair code. Enter that code on the Get help page. The bar asks you to allow the browser before it connects.

  2. 2. Allow Accessibility

macOS will ask for Accessibility access for ScreenShare Helper. That permission is what lets an approved session move the pointer and type. The helper does not read or store your keystrokes.

  3. 3. Stop whenever you want

The bar stays visible while the helper is running. Stop ends the share. Unpair forgets this browser. Quitting the helper also stops control.

Control currently runs on macOS. Viewing works in a current Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari on any computer. A portable browser cannot move the mouse by itself, which is why the helper exists.
